ToyTech

ToyTech is a unique resource and lending library for children with all types of disabilities ages birth to thirteen years, their siblings and parents, and therapists. ToyTech makes the specialized and adapted toys you are looking for available so that children with any type of developmental delay or disability can benefit from the enrichment of play. To check out the ToyTech lending library please email ToyTech@eastersealshouston.org. The BridgingApps Lab, ToyTech lending library, and Financial Coaches are available during Tuesday Family Nights from 4:30 pm-6:30 pm.

Play Groups

Adapted Karate

Through participation in this class, your child will learn balance and self-control through various drills and independent lessons. These practices include training in martial arts etiquette, respect for authority, and self-esteem. Using a goal-setting martial arts curriculum, participants gain confidence through repetition, guidance, and praise.

Karate is open to military-connected kids, people with disabilities, and siblings ages 6 to 17 years old. Karate is held on the 1st Tuesday of each month from 5:30 pm-6:15 pm, September-May. For questions or to attend, please email playgroup@eastersealshouston.org or call 713.838.9050, ext.350.

Adapted Video Games

Video games act as a medium for communication while playing with others. Players discuss their position in Mario Kart, who scored the goal in Rocket League, and even a bit of friendly banter during competition. Using the medium of video games, communication is encouraged and sometimes required to be successful.

Adapted Video Games is open to military-connected kids, people with disabilities, and siblings. Adapted Video Games is held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month from 5:30 pm-6:30 pm, September-May. Adapted Yoga

Join us for beginners Adapted Yoga, led by a wonderful program with classes specifically built for kids, with a focus on finding balance in mind and body. Each yoga session is 30 – 40 minutes long, with plenty of time to drink water and reflect on the lessons. The moves are simple and adaptable to all physical abilities.

Yoga is open to military-connected kids, people with disabilities, and siblings ages 6 to 17 years old. Yoga is held at 5:30 pm on the 3rd Tuesday of each month.

Music and Movement Play Group

Babies and toddlers ages 0-36 months that are enrolled in Early Childhood Intervention are invited to join us in-person at one of our convenient locations. Music and Movement activities include circle time, singing, parachute play, bubbles, games, and free play with ToyTech toys!
