Dance group is open to people with disabilities and their siblings ages 6-18 years old. Dance is held on the 1st Tuesday of the month.
Yoga
Yoga is run by instructors who are specifically trained to work with children with physical and cognitive disabilities. Students learn breathing techniques, self-calming strategies, balance, muscle strengthening, elongation, and much more. We offer one combined yoga session for children who require assistance from their parent to complete each yoga pose and for children who are more advanced and can do most poses independently. Yoga is open to people with disabilities and siblings ages 6-18 years old. Yoga is held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month.
Karate
Through participation in this class, your child will learn balance and self-control through various drills and independent lessons. These practices include training in martial arts etiquette, respect for authority, and self-esteem. Using a goal-setting martial arts curriculum, participants gain confidence through repetition, guidance, and praise. Karate is open to people with disabilities and siblings ages 6 to 18 years old. Karate is held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month.
Art
At our art play group, individuals, couples, and families engage in creating a unique work of art under the direction of a certified therapeutic recreation specialist (CTRS). As you enjoy exercising your creativity and socializing with other participants, the CTRS will guide you in a discussion on the therapeutic nature of each project. Join us for an evening of relaxation, reflection, and reinvigoration as you and your family experience the healing power of art. Art is held on the 4th Tuesday of each month.
