Adults with Disabilities (LEAD) Outing – LaTraviata

November 8 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Free

When the glamorous courtesan Violetta and the young Alfredo fall for each other, it’s as if nothing can tear them apart. But as tragedy unfolds over three sublime acts, family, classism, and deceit plague their relationship, and true love is shaken to its core. Verdi’s La traviata is one of the world’s most beloved—and performed—operas. This HGO revival features Grammy-award-winning soprano Angel Blue making her company debut as Violetta, a courtesan whose pursuit of love belies a creeping, fatal illness. Beloved tenor Matthew White, also making his company debut, takes on the role of Violetta’s distraught lover Alfredo. Celebrated baritone Andrei Kymach makes his HGO debut as Alfredo’s father Giorgio. Award-winning director Arin Arbus returns to HGO, and conductor Matthew Aucoin makes his company debut.

And let’s not forget, this performance will include our wonderful volunteer CHRISTINE! Let’s show her our love and support. Join us for a fun day out!
