Volunteer Opportunities

Easter Seals Greater Houston proudly serves children, adults, veterans, and service members with all types of disabilities in a multitude of ways. This means that we have vast number of volunteer opportunities that would be perfect for you! We welcome both individuals and groups to help us with camps, games, field trips, bowling, and much more. Our continued success is thanks to the generosity of our amazing volunteers! Learn more.

Be a Mentor

The Ready to Achieve Mentoring Program (RAMP) is a career-focused mentoring program for youth with disabilities involved with or at-risk of becoming involved with the juvenile justice system. The majority of youth in the juvenile justice system have at least one disability, making all youth with disabilities a risk. The RAMP model utilizes a combination of group, peer, and one-on-one mentoring to promote the successful transition of RAMP youth to employment, continued learning opportunities, and independent living. Youth meet weekly to develop social skills, self confidence, work readiness skills, participate in mock interviews, create resumes and career exploration. Learn more.

Youth Action Council of Easter Seals (YAC)

The Youth Action Council (YAC) supports the programs of Easter Seals Greater Houston. Their fundraising and program support make a real impact on our clients. Any high school student in the Greater Houston area who can commit to attending 4 meetings and participating in Walk With Me are welcome to join as High School Delegates on YAC. For further information on joining the organization and serving in a YAC leadership position please contact Caroline Perillo, Vice President of Membership.

"To relieve suffering, to help the unfortunate, to do kind acts and deeds is, after all, the one sure way to secure happiness or to achieve real success. Your life and mine shall be valued not by what we take...but by what we give."
