Adult Bowling Program

The Adult Bowling Program uses adaptive equipment to help people with disabilties bowl. This fun program is held most 1st and 3rd Saturdays at AMF Windfern Lanes from 12:00pm-3:00pm. Volunteers assist with ramps and games. Each partipants can play 3 rounds of bowling for $5.

LEAD Adult Day Program

The LEAD (Life Enrichment for Adults with Disabilities) Adult Day Program serves adults ages 30 and up. We provide a safe environment for adults to socialize with one another and participate in activities enjoyed by all. It is our mission to help broaden their experiences and introduce them to new things. Learn more.

When and Where we Meet:

Mondays and Wednesdays from 12:00 to 3:00 pm. Mondays at Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church and Wednesdays at  Memorial Drive United Methodist Church.

LEAD Young Adult Day Program

The LEAD (Life Enrichment for Adults with Disabilities) Young Adult Day Program serves young adults 18 years old up to age 30. Our young adults participate in activities focused on enriching life skills and social skills as well as similar recreational activities as our Adult Day Program. Learn more.

Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Mondays at Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church and Wednesdays at Memorial Drive United Methodist Church.

Typical Adult Day Program Activities:

  • Yoga
  • Bowling
  • Painting
  • Self Defense
  • Crafts
  • Cooking
  • Volunteer projects
  • Field Trips to Discovery Green, the Zoo, etc.
  • Sporting events such as Astros and Dynamo games, etc.

Eligibility Requirements:

To be eligible for either Adult Program, an individual must have a developmental disability as a primary diagnosis (eg cerebral palsy, intellectual disability, Down syndrome, etc.). Individuals must be able to provide self-care with regards to feeding and toileting, with minimal assistance. Those not independent with self-care may be deemed eligible to attend, but will be required to bring their own attendant. Any individual who exhibits aggressive behavior or is potentially a danger to self or others will not be allowed to attend.
